Join form problem fixed; Server move complete.

I just discovered that the additional field, labeled What is your favourite memory of Jake Epstein? was not working properly. I had something screwed up in my addform file which was causing that field not to show up when someone new joined.
It has been fixed now, and if you joined and had filled that form out, but it was left blank when you were added, you may update your information here and add something in that field.

On another note, jakeepstein.net has now been move to my new server! Finally. There may still be a few problems around the site so bare with me as I work those out. Thanks!

I’m Back!!

Hi everyone!!

I just wanted to let you know that I am back at home with a normal/regular internet connection with my iMac, and I’m not stuck using my junky laptop that has Windows XP to get online now.

I actually just barely made it home too. The drive, in good conditions, should take about 10-12 hours. It ended up taking us a lot longer than that. We left at 7:30 in the morning and didn’t get home until after 10:00 at night. At about Red Deer was when the weather went bad. We were trying really hard to get there before the storm did, but that didn’t happen. A little ways south of Reed Deer the the snow was blowing a lot and the roads were starting to get icy. We weren’t even driving the speed limit but because I drive the crappiest piece of junk anyone could possibly drive on bad roads we ended up spinning out. We started fishtailing, and obviously I immediately took my foot off the gas. Everyone else around me seemed to be able to slow down but I couldn’t. I didn’t touch the brake at all because that won’t help. Then all of a sudden we were backwards on the highway facing everyone else, which probably would have looked really funny to others because of the look on my face. The girl who was with me was apparently just in shock because she didn’t say anything the whole time.

Then, after a few seconds being backwards on the highway, we backed into the ditch and hit a barbed wire fence. Backwards. It was really odd. I was able to drive out of the ditch, which was good, but it was amazing how straight we went into the ditch! We were still going pretty fast though. I did hit the breaks when I realized that we were going towards a barded wire fence but I don’t know that that really helped a whole lot since we were still in drive while we were going backwards. There wasn’t really a lot of snow on the ground yet at that point. We we ended up in a thick layer of squishy grass so it slowed us down somewhat once we got off the road.

Yeah, so once I calmed down, and checked the everything out, we basically just drove right out of the ditch. No major damage. There’s just a big scratch and a dent on the back above the tail light on the driver’s side. That’s all. If there is anything else, it’s still covered in snow lol. The weather still hasn’t really improved.

Which is why I have to go shower right now, because apparently they might be shutting off the water on this side of town because I just found out that there is a big leak somewhere. So I’m going to go shower right now.

Gabrielle Miller FL: Now Open

I have now opened the Gabrielle Miller fanlisting: gm.fading-flowers.com

I’m so sorry it took me so long to get it open. The internet at my school is only available in the dining hall and the connection doesn’t always work. If I had known that before I applied at TFL for this FL I probably wouldn’t have applied because I haven’t had time to work on it. But I managed to get it finished. The layout is very simple and plain and might still have some issues but hopefully I will be able to get it all worked out soon.

School and Lack of Updates

Just to let everyone know, I am currently at school and I don’t have internet in my dorms this year so I won’t be online as often, but I do plan to keep my fanlistings up to date. I can only get internet in the cafeteria. It’s kind of dumb but I can’t really do anything about it. Also, I’m stuck on my laptop for that, which doesn’t have any of my files and stuff. It’s all on my iMac (which is not a desktop computer for those of you who don’t know much about Macs).

Anyways, I think that’s all I wanted to say for now. All my FLs are still open and I will be trying to update them as much as possible.

Oh, also, I don’t plan to move jakeepstein.net (fansite and fanlisting) until the next time I am at home and have internet on my iMac for more than a couple days, and it’s more secure. The wireless we get in the caf is not a secure network so I’m not comfortable doing that. So I will move that domain to my new host probably during Christmas. I will also be posting that on jakeepstein.net

I just got approval for my first Album fanlisting. It’s for Superchick’s latest album Rock What You Got. I am absolutely in love with the songs on this album. It’s way better than their older stuff. I do like certain songs from their old albums, but as far as albums go, this one is the best!!

New Server

Ok, so everything on fading-flowers.com (excluding my Jake Epstein FL because it is on jakeepstein.net) has been moved to the new server. I’m just waiting on some of the subdomains to start working. Last I checked (about 5-10 minutes ago) about a third of them had started to work, but they’re not going in the order that I created them in so I don’t know how long it will take. Hopefully, they start working soon.
